Startups & Small Teams – Manage risk early by securing non-human identities from day one.
• Open Telegram.
• Search for the bot named CremitAlertBot.
• Add CremitAlertBot as a member to the Telegram group or channel where you want to receive alerts.
• You need the unique ID of the group or channel where CremitAlertBot was added.
• You can use another bot like Get My ID (@getmyid_bot). Add it temporarily to your group/channel, and it will usually report the Chat ID. Alternatively, send a message in the group/channel and check bot logs if you have access, or use web Telegram and inspect network requests or URL elements.
• Note: For groups, the Chat ID is typically a negative number (e.g., -100123456789). For channels, it might also be negative or require the @channelusername format depending on bot interaction methods. Record this ID.
• Log in to your Cremit Dashboard.
• Navigate to the Alert tab from the left menu.
• Select the Telegram Alerts sub-tab.
• Click Add Telegram Alert.
• Chat ID: Paste the Telegram group or channel Chat ID you obtained in Step 2.
• Label: Enter a descriptive name for this alert configuration (e.g., Security Team Alerts).
• Alert Types: Select the specific types of events or severity levels for which you want to receive alerts via Telegram.
• Click Save.
• If the setup is successful, CremitAlertBot should send a confirmation message to the configured Telegram chat.

Cremit provides an automated, SaaS-based detection solution that scans your code repositories for non-human identities (NHI) such as API keys, tokens, passwords, certificates, and others to help prevent data breaches and security incidents.
Vulnerable NHIs can expose your systems to unauthorized access, data leaks, and compliance violations. By using Cremit, you can continuously monitor and detect leaks early in the development cycle, reducing the risk of security breaches and ensuring your codebase remains secure.
